Library
The Institute is equipped with a big library having very good infrastructures.
Whenever students want to sit in the library they must maintain pin-drop silence.
- Every student is issued three Library Cards, which can be used for borrowing the chosen books for their personal use.
- The students should not keep the borrowed books with themselves for more than 15 days.
- If any student fails to return the book within the due date, he / she will have to pay 50 paisa per day as overdue charge for a single book.
- The transference of books from one student to another is not permitted.
- Students are not supposed to scribble or damage the issued books.
- Magazines, bound periodicals and reference books should be used within the Library
- The Library Cards should be produced if the Librarian wants them for verification.
- If the students have lost the Library Cards, they must report to the Librarian.
Computer Education
The computer has become the most amazing bearing as well as teaching tool ever invented. Hence Computer Education is part of the curriculum in St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute. Every student is provided with a computer with Internet Accessibility. Moreover the computer lab of St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute is large with seating capacity for 50 students at a time.That makes group computer education possible.To Make themselves into effective and efficient persons at school and at home,the future teachers are expected to avail themselves of the facility offered at St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute.
Language Lab
A good pronunciation makes a good communicator. Therefore St.Xavier's Catholic Teacher Training Institute is equipped with a fine language laboratory. Students can perceive the sounds of different phonetic symbols and hear them distinctly. It helps them develop their pronunciation, accent and intonation. Every student has provision to stop, rewind and reply the tape at any time. The students can work at their own pace. She / He can select the materials freely and the teacher can listen to individual students without disturbing others. The teacher can communicate with the students and also control the programme when she / he so desires.
